LPG

LPG, which stands for Liquefied Petroleum Gas, is a shortened term. Butane and propane gases obtained during the distillation of crude oil are the main components of LPG. These gases can be either liquefied and sold in specific proportions or sold in pure form. However, nowadays, the term LPG is commonly used commercially to refer to a mixture consisting of 30% propane and 70% butane. The mixture ratios of mixed gas vary widely worldwide. Especially in cold climates, the propane ratio may be higher. The primary reason for the changes in mixture ratios is the differences in the freezing points of the components. Propane has a lower freezing temperature than butane, so the propane ratio is increased to prevent LPG from freezing, especially in cold seasons and areas. LPG is a gas that is transported and stored in liquid form and consumed in gas form.
